Welcome to The Old Mill House Bed and Breakfast Bridport, Dorset DT6 4AG

We had to make an unscheduled stop at Bridport & discovered the wonderful "Old Mill House" Bed & Breakfast. Catering to our needs was "second nature" to the delightful hosts Fi & Malcolm, the beds provided a sound nights sleep & the rooms were spotlessly clean. It was the warmth & comfort many a weary traveller seeks yet seldom finds. The food & friendly service will see us return again. We will highly recommend it to all our friends as "the" place to stay in West Dorset.
Our guests are free to enjoy a walk in the ample grounds and unwind whilst listening to the River Asker running by. We are just 3 miles from the village of Burton Bradstock at the westerly edge of Dorset's famous Chesil Beach. We know that you will enjoy this wonderful setting for your perfect break. Come for a romantic weekend, or we can organise a private house party to celebrate a special event with your family and friends.
Explore the beaches along the famous Jurassic Coast line and hunt for fossils or simply laze the day away. Set out to walk the South West Coast Path along this World Heritage Site. Hit the Literary trail, uncovering the Dorset that inspired Thomas Hardy and Jane Austen and provided the backdrop for such classics as Moonfleet and The French Lieutenant's Woman.
Savour speciality dishes and delicious local produce, in local inns and restaurants that are fast establishing this part of Dorset as a centre for fine, natural foods.
Under three hours from London, this is a rural haven you’ll want to return to, again and again
We do NOT offer a cooked breakfast but we do provide a Healthy Option brekka, starting with seasonal fruit salad, cereals, yogurts, jams, honey, local breads for toasting on our Aga, plus pots of tea and coffee/fruit or herbals, and always fresh milk.
If you prefer to be an early riser or even a late riser, it's up to you. We can show you where everything is and you may help yourself to breakfast. You are most welcome to treat our home like a "Home from Home".
We can also cater for Vegans, those on Gluten Free Diets, Dairy-Free lifestyles, and we will endeavour to accommodate all special dietary needs, if you can advise us at the time of your booking.

Parking & Entering House Coming down the hill into Bridport from the Dorchester direction on the A35, the Texaco garage is on your left just before the East Road Roundabout and is your land mark to find us. You will see opposite the Texaco our white front porch with black door, we have ample off road parking to the rear of the house accessed through a walled gap between two houses, just, two doors up from our White front porch (heading back in the Dorchester direction). Go through this gap, it is sign posted "PUBLIC FOOTPATH", but believe us, you can drive your car down there and over a small bridge into our car park. Keeping to the left all the time, park beyond the small breeze block wall and park in the space by our sign written garage. Then we would ask you to walk back the way you drove in, back over the bridge, along the path on the main road until you reach our porch. Enter the house by opening the black outside door into our porch. Bang loudly on the red internal main front door and we look forward to greeting you. Thank you
Smoking Please note we are a TOTALLY NON-SMOKING environment, both inside and outside in the extensive grounds.
