While you are in the care of Fiona and Malcolm they will look after your Mind, Body and Spirit. They have become very good friends of mine; and meeting them both has been heaven sent.

The Old Mill House endeavours to ensure as far as possible that our activities have minimal impact upon the environment. Where possible we attempt to use local produce, use eco- friendly products and we recycle all our kitchen waste by maturing it in compostors before using it around our garden.

We enjoy and buy produce from Bridport's, famous high street markets, on twice a week on the Wednesday and the Saturday, as well as the various Farmers' Markets throughout the year.

We did give our vegetable patch to a local man who was on the waiting list for an allotment but sadly he has had to move back north. So, the sharing of the veggie plot is currently re-available. We had come to an ideal arrangement with him to receive some of the produce without the hard and time-consuming work.

The house is set between "two worlds", from the front of the house is on the main road and it is only a few minutes walk into the town, yet at the rear of the house it is a complete surprise with a very rural outlook; with the river Asker flowing past our kitchen window and also completely moating our acre of land, and enclosed by trees. Our visitors are encouraged to enjoy time in our un-manicured - natural garden, either the main lawn with it's shrub areas, and/or our sunken, secret garden to relax whilst watching the weir or walk up to the top of the garden where we have a small fruit orchard with fruit trees: Damsons, Pears and eating apples.
